VeloVelo is a communication and introduction service only. We connect independent frame builders (Builders) with cycling enthusiasts (Riders) to facilitate introductions and inquiries. VeloVelo does not sell, ship, authenticate, insure, or guarantee any bicycle, frame, or service listed by a Builder. All commissions and transactions occur directly between Riders and Builders, entirely off-site, at the parties' own risk.
The following are strictly prohibited in listings on VeloVelo — the bicycles, frames, and goods a Builder lists:
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, reporting to law enforcement, and civil or criminal liability for the offending user.
By creating a listing on VeloVelo, the Builder certifies that: (a) the bicycle, frame, or item is legally theirs to sell; (b) all representations in the listing are accurate to the best of the Builder's knowledge; (c) the item is authentic and not counterfeit; and (d) the listing complies with all applicable laws. This certification is made under penalty of removal from the service and potential legal action.
VeloVelo reserves the right to remove any listing and suspend or terminate any account at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or refund of any fees paid. This includes but is not limited to: suspected prohibited listings, community guideline violations, fraudulent activity, or any behavior deemed harmful to the service or its users.
VeloVelo cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and legal requests. Users agree to cooperate with any law enforcement investigations in which they are involved. VeloVelo will comply with lawful subpoenas, court orders, and government requests for user data without prior notice to affected users where legally permitted.
Builders agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VeloVelo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from or related to their listings, representations made, or any commissions or transactions conducted directly with Riders.
Riders acknowledge full responsibility for verifying the authenticity, condition, provenance, and legality of any bicycle, frame, or service before commissioning work from or completing any off-site transaction with a Builder. VeloVelo makes no representations or warranties regarding any item listed. Riders transact at their own risk and should exercise due diligence, including but not limited to requesting provenance documentation, independent authentication, and meeting in safe locations.
VeloVelo does not mediate, arbitrate, or resolve disputes between riders and builders. Users transact entirely at their own risk. VeloVelo bears no liability for failed transactions, misrepresented listings, non-delivery, or fraud between parties. Users are solely responsible for resolving any disputes directly with one another.
VeloVelo operates a three-strike violation policy: three (3) confirmed violations of these Terms of Use will result in permanent account suspension with no option for reinstatement. A "confirmed violation" means a flag or report reviewed and upheld by VeloVelo staff. Severe violations (e.g., listing stolen goods) may result in immediate permanent suspension without warning.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeloVelo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. VeloVelo's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid to VeloVelo in the twelve months preceding the claim.
VeloVelo reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any pricing plan, feature tier, or subscription rate at any time. We will provide users with at least 30 days written notice via email before any price increases take effect on existing active subscriptions. Continued use of the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing.
Builders who join VeloVelo during the Founding Builder period (the first 25 approved builders) are entitled to the Founding Builder rate of $15/mo on the Builder Pro plan (standard rate $19/mo). This rate is locked in for life and will be applied automatically to their account.
VeloVelo will provide Founding Builders with at least 60 days written notice before any subscription billing begins.
VeloVelo may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
