Naked Bicycles is a renowned custom framebuilder based on Quadra Island, British Columbia, founded in 1998 by master builder Sam Whittingham. The workshop crafts bespoke titanium and steel bicycles tailored specifically to each rider's body and riding style. Known for artisan craftsmanship and innovative geometry, Naked Bicycles produces custom road, gravel, mountain, and adventure machines.
Founder Story
Sam Whittingham founded Naked Bicycles in 1998 on Quadra Island, drawing on a passion for custom fabrication and human-powered vehicle speed records. Over more than two decades, Whittingham has earned multiple awards at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS).
