About
True North Cycles is an acclaimed custom bicycle builder based in Belwood, Ontario, crafting bespoke steel and titanium frames since 1993. Master builder Hugh Black designs each bicycle around the rider's specific proportions, terrain preferences, and riding goals, ranging from gravel and road to touring and tandem bikes.
Founder Story
Hugh Black founded True North Cycles in 1993 in his parents' farm workshop near Alma, Ontario, before growing it into one of Canada's premier custom frame workshops in Belwood.
